Wisconsin Product Liability Injuries
Product liability describes types of cases that involve defectively designed products. These can include drugs, toys, vehicles, machinery and other products put on the market.
Dangerous and defectively designed products may cause serious injury or death. These products are sometimes placed on the market in good faith and over time an unanticipated defect is revealed.
In other cases, such as the famous Ford Pinto cases in the early 1970s, the company concealed evidence of a dangerous design flaw. It decided that it would be more economical to pay for the deaths and injuries caused by the Pinto than to recall and fix them.
