Bonfire Explosion
A family party turned into a nightmare for several young teenagers. The plan was to have a large bonfire on a farm in rural Wisconsin, but the adults negligently allowed the children to use gasoline as an accelerate to start the fire. One of the teenagers, a young woman who was a cheerleader, was severely burned when the gasoline was lit, resulting in a large explosion.
The family of the young woman contacted Attorney John Casey for help. Knowing that time was of the essence, Attorney Casey had photographs taken of the still smoldering fire pit and surrounding area. After extensive pretrial discovery and several motions for summary judgment, of which the plaintiff won, the litigation was ultimately settled favorably for our client.
